Germanium oxide is a white powder, molecular formula GeO₂, a two-sided oxide that is acidic and soluble in strong acids as well as in alkali solutions. In the case of acid solution, different concentrations of hydrogen ions correspond to different products. Mainly used for metal germanium, also used for spectral analysis and semiconductor materials
